Effective date: August 1, 2025
Welcome to Give Props — a Slack app built by Props Software LLC ("we," "our," or "us").
By using Give Props, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you're using Give Props on behalf of a company, you're agreeing to these Terms for that company.
1. What Give Props Does
Give Props helps teams recognize and celebrate each other directly in Slack.
You connect the app to your Slack workspace, and it lets you send and track "props" messages across your team.
2. Who We Are
Give Props is owned and operated by Props Software LLC, a Colorado company based in Denver, Colorado.
We use Paddle as our Merchant of Record for all payments.
That means Paddle handles billing, payment processing, and compliance (including global VAT/GST collection) on our behalf.
3. Your Account & Workspace
- You need a valid Slack account to use Give Props.
- You must have the right permissions to install apps in your Slack workspace.
- You're responsible for how your team uses Give Props.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or Slack's own policies.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
- Give Props offers paid subscriptions (monthly or yearly).
- Payments are processed securely by Paddle.
- Prices are shown on our website or within the Slack app.
- Paddle will appear as the seller on your invoice or credit card statement (e.g. "PADDLE.NET* GIVE PROPS").
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You can cancel anytime through the Paddle customer portal — your access will continue through the end of your billing period.
- No refunds are offered for partial billing periods.
5. Fair Use
We built Give Props for human teams, not bots or resellers.
Don't misuse the app or try to reverse-engineer, duplicate, or abuse it.
6. Intellectual Property
The Give Props app, name, and all associated content are the property of Props Software LLC.
You keep ownership of anything your team creates inside Slack — we don't claim rights to your messages or data.
7. Slack Integration
Give Props connects to Slack through their API.
We access only the data necessary to make the app work (like messages you send through the app, workspace IDs, and user info).
Slack's own terms apply to your use of their platform.
8. Warranty Disclaimer
We do our best to keep Give Props reliable and secure, but it's provided "as is" — without warranties of any kind.
We can't guarantee it'll be bug-free or that every feature will always work exactly as expected.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Props Software LLC and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits or data — that result from using or not being able to use Give Props.
10. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update Give Props or these Terms from time to time.
When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new "effective date."
If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to let you know in advance (for example, via email or Slack).
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
